About Westwood Lakes

Westwood Lakes is a beautifully landscaped community just minutes from Westchase with preserved lakes and gardens. It is located on the northwest edge of Hillsborough County, just off of Westwood Lakes Boulevard, and provides easy access to the Tampa Bay area. There are plenty of walking and jogging trails for residents to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The area has a secluded feeling with large green acres of pine trees and grass in wide-open areas. There are many beautiful lakes and ponds throughout the community. This community has many amenities such as a playground, basketball court, and picnic area for residents to enjoy. There is even a dog walk area for your four-legged friend to enjoy.

The Westwood Lakes community has seven subdivisions. They are Cypress Glen, Deer Run, Egret Point, Herring Cove, Osprey Cove, Palmetto Place, and Sawgrass Village. Cypress Glen is the largest village in Westwood Lakes with 178 homes. There are only 16 homes built by Westfield in the smallest village of Deer Run. This beautiful area is nestled between gorgeous woods and ponds. In Egret point you will find 74 homes built by Westfield, Premier, and American Heritage. Herring Cove contains 102 high-end homes with lakes and conservation areas to the rear of the homes. In Osprey Cove, you will find 101 homes constructed by American Heritage and Westfield. Palmetto Place has 106 homes and Sawgrass Village has 78 single-family homes. As part of the deed-restricted community, all seven subdivisions are subject to the Westwood Lakes Homeowners Association rules and restrictions. As such, all residents pay HOA fees, but do not pay CDD fees.

Just outside the Westwood Lakes entrance is the Hillsborough County Park. There you will find several basketball courts, a soccer field, a playground, a baseball field, and several pavilions and picnic tables. Although not owned by the Westwood Lakes community, this County Park area is landscaped and maintained by our homeowners association. Within the community itself, there is a long walking and jogging trail that outlines five of the 27 ponds and lakes within the Westwood Lake community. Residents can enjoy a variety of beautiful native landscaping views and wildlife while walking or jogging within the community.

The Westwood Lakes community is conveniently located close to just about everything! Within a five-minute drive you will find local restaurants, shopping, and local banks. Just a 10 minute drive and you will find yourself at the Citrus Park Mall. Nearby, you will also find a CVS pharmacy and West Park Village. There is easy access to the Tampa Bay area via 275 and Veterans Expressway. If you need to commute to the downtown Tampa area for work, then you will be pleased to find that it is only a 20 to 30 minute commute. The Tampa International Airport is just minutes away and the beautiful Gulf beaches can be reached within 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.
